Chimney Rock Day Trip

Featuring Hickory Nut Falls, the Opera Box, the Great Woodland Adventure and Devil's Head! Chimney Rock at Chimney Rock State Park is located in Chimney Rock Village near Lake Lure in the North Carolina Mountains. Just 25 miles southeast of Asheville, the park is nestled in Hickory Nut Gorge between the towns of Lake Lure and Bat Cave. Canoe Trip Across Congaree National Park
Saturday May 19, 2012, 8 a.m. - 5 p.m.
Traveling by canoe or kayak is a great way to enjoy this primeval wilderness while floating past some of the tallest trees in eastern North America. Paddling is also a thrilling way to encounter the diverse wildlife of the park. Deer, river otters, turtles, snakes, raccoons, and wild pigs are a few of the animals that may be seen.
Paddlers experience this unique old-growth bottomland forest while paddling through large bald cypress and water tupelo trees draped with Spanish Moss. You will be surrounded with the sounds of songbirds, owls, and woodpeckers as you paddle through Congaree's Wilderness. White-tailed deer, otters, and raccoons may also be spotted along the banks of Cedar Creek. For more information please Call Marion Street Station at 803 751-3484.

Beach Bash at Weston Lake
Saturday, May 26, 11 a.m. - 6 p.m.
Featuring games, swimming, music, and prizes. In additon, free use of paddle boats and canoes. Free admission for ages 3 yrs and younger. $1 for children ages
4-9 yrs and $3 for ages 10 yrs and older.

Deep Sea Fishing Trip with Outdoor Recreation

Isle of Palms Beach Day Trip
June 23 (8a.m.-8 p.m.) $19 per person for transportation
All trips leave from Marion Street Station
Isle of Palms County Park was developed by the Charleston County Park & Recreation Commission in 1996 in response to public demand for improved beach access in the East Cooper area. The park is operated for the enjoyment of the citizens and visitors of Charleston County. Isle of Palms County Park offers beautiful ocean frontage with lifeguards on duty seasonally along a beachfront designated swimming area.

Amenities include:
Dressing areas, outdoor showers*, restrooms, ice cream and drinks, picnic area and grills, retail area, sand volleyball court, beach chairs, bag toss game, and umbrella rentals**. In addition, there are Boardwalks and Handicap accessible ramps, beach accessible wheelchairs (call ahead for availability), children's play area lifeguards
