The mission of the Army Outdoor Recreation program is to implement Public Law 88-29 which states that:“... all levels of government ... shall take prompt action and coordinate to the extent practicable without diminishing or affecting their respective powers and functions to conserve, develop, and utilize outdoor recreation resources for the benefit and enjoyment of the American people."
