Exceptional Family Member Program (EFMP)
The Exceptional family Member Program (EFMP) is a Department of the Army (DA) Program to assist you through selective assignments and reassignments as you travel with your special needs family members(s). The EFMP is designed to include all eligible family members: children, spouses, and dependent relatives with special needs requiring on going medical treatment or special educational services.
Army Community Services (ACS) here at Fort Jackson is committed to helping to improve the quality of life and the well-being of our soldiers and family members. The ACS EFMP seeks to ensure that all families with physical, emotional, developmental, or intellectual disorders receive prompt and adequate information, referral and assistance to appropriate services and resources.
I am looking forward to assisting you in obtaining information on local educational and health-related services and programs, in addition to obtaining information on services/programs available at other locations. ACS is located in the Strom Thurmond Building, Bldg 5450, and Room 120 on Strom Thurmond Boulevard, telephone number (803) 751-5256, DSN 734-5256, 1-800-337-3445 or email FtJackson_ACS@conus.army.mil.
