Families Soldiers Civilians

The Army Family Action Plan provides a way for Soldiers and Family members to let Army leadership know what works, what doesn't - and what they think will fix it.

The Army Family Action Plan (AFAP) is a grassroots process that enables all members of the Total Army Family to raise issues of concern and make recommendations to affect quality of life improvements. Active Duty, Reserve, Guard, Retirees, DA Civilians, Family Members, and surviving spouses are all invited to participate in the AFAP Program.

The AFAP Conference is held annually. The purpose of the conference is to draw together a representation of America's Army in an atmosphere of education and decision-making.
Even though the AFAP Conference is held once a year, you can get your issues heard at any time.  Community FIRST is a quarterly issues resolution process designed to provide continuous feedback to the Fort Jackson community on issues that cannot be resolved by ICE. AFAP and Community FIRST work hand in hand to address the issue of the military community. To learn more about Community FIRST, visit http://www.jackson.army.mil/WellBeing/CMS.htm.

If you would like to submit an issue or recommendation, visit the Customer Management Services website: http://www.jackson.army.mil/WellBeing/WellBeing/Survey.htm. Issues will be electronically submitted to the CMS Customer Service Officer who works with the AFAP Program Manager to process the issues. Issues will be forwarded on a quarterly basis to the directorate or organization responsible for resolution. Issues that cannot be resolved may be brought before the quarterly IAC/AFAP Steering Committee for vetting. Updates on issues submitted locally can be found on the Customer Management Services website as well.
